"2007"

No wild improbable tale from the road.  No unending voyage in crowded transport, getting stranded in a strange place, without money or a care in the world.

Well, not exactly.  An interesting year: new job, new country, new challenges.  I won't bore you with details, but it has been filled with a fair bit of drama.

My life in Oxford, England: work from home, the 50% of the time that I was actually there.  Runs along the River Thames.  English pubs.  Beautiful countryside not far away.  A short and nice walk from my place to the city centre.

Work in UK, Germany, Sweden, Italy, Switzerland.  Outside that, I managed to visit my brother in South Korea, did a climbing and sun holiday in the Caribbean, and a trip to Chile/Argentina.  There were shorter getaways as well: fishing in the Irish sea, castle-hopping and hiking in the Snowdonia region of northern Wales, trips around the beautiful villages of the Cotswolds and southern Wales, a getaway to Malta and Gozo, visiting people on the Continent, mountain biking and skiing in the Swiss Alps, weekends with English friends in the country.  And a few trips back to the USA, of course.

A year of endings and beginnings--countless stories lie within these lines.  2008 will be interesting.  No, it doesn't bother me to be done travelling.  Yes, I still live and work in England.  I'll post an update if that changes, or if I do anything 'exciting'.

 My ink was too thin

 The day wouldn't write

 What the night pencilled in"
